Hire The Best SEO Company

4 Tips For Hiring The Right SEO Firm

Minnesota SEO | Minneapolis SEO | Saint Paul Mn SEO | Twin Cities SEO | SEO Services

You’ve been tasked with hiring an search engine optimization (SEO) firm to provide various online marketing services to your company. You went out and did a search on Google for “ Anywhere USA + seo” and got a list of 300+ SEO businesses. You start contacting the companies starting with the one at the top, since it seems reasonable that the guy at the top must know what he’s doing. But as you contact the firms they all tell you the same things, or as one reader put it in a comment on one of my previous articles, “SEO is surely the greatest con ever.

Can anyone here tell me how every would-be Internet Marketer on the planet can promise every client to get them onto the first page of Google natural search?” The easy answer is that some can deliver while others can’t. But if that’s the case, how do you figure out which SEO firm to hire?

First, let’s clear up some misconceptions about SEO firms.
A nice-looking website does not a good SEO firm make. If you’re looking to hire an SEO firm that can also take care of designing your new website, then yes, you should probably consider how good their own website looks. But if you’re only looking for top-notch SEO, some of the best firms have websites that are second-rate at best

  • The SEO firm that ranks first in your geographic area is not necessarily the one you should work with. I’m going to let you in on a secret. My own firm almost always shows up first in Google for “Mn seo,” and has for most of the past 10 years, but it’s not because we’re the best SEO firm in Utah. I’m not saying we’re not the best SEO firm in Mn, but if we are that’s not why our website ranks high, because a lot of our competitors are doing a better job of SEO on their own websites than we are doing on ours. Why does our website continue to rank #1 for “Mn seo?” Sure, we have some decent content on the site, we’ve got the code right for the most part, and we have some good inbound links, but mostly it’s because we were one of the first SEO firms in Mn and it’s an old domain that’s been in use for years. Google puts a lot of weight on those two factors, and fortunately for us, it’s hard for anyone else to compete without a time machine.
  • The best “SEO firm” for you might not be much of a firm. Bigger is not better. Less sometimes, but not always, is more. The right SEO firm for you might have one or two employees working from a basement. Or it might be the SEO firm with 500 employees. Don’t write either one off automatically.
  • All SEO firms are scam operations. This statement is 100% false, in that it’s only 95% true. Or as the late Rex E. Lee put it in a statement about lawyers but which applies equally well to SEO firms, “It’s a shame that an entire profession should be maligned because of two or three hundred thousand bad apples.” Yes, you’re right to be careful about the firm you hire. Too many people hire a firm, only to leave a year or two later and wonder “Did I just throw all that money away on nothing?”

SEO, Optimize Your Website for More Traffic and Better Conversions

Including SEO in a websites content can help a great deal. Making the website visually appealing and easy to navigate can also help.

Minneapolis SEO | Minneapolis SEO Company | SEO Servcies | SEM ServciesCreating a website  isn’t just about looking great; it’s about making sure that your site is easy to explore and accessible for your users, but if you really want to take your website to the next level, we suggest that you match it up with the hottest web design trends, SEO practices and modern usability guidelines to make sure that your site is both easy on the eyes and your user’s experience.

Check out these easy to follow guidelines to take your website from amateur to extraordinary by making it 100% compatible with contemporary principles and modern web trends.

1. Navigation: Does your Site Layout Make Sense?
A crucial feature for any website that wishes to play in the major leagues is simple and straightforward navigation. Site visitors will not spend precious time on understanding how to get from one page to another. It’s your task as website owner to make this process is as smooth as possible for them. Here are a few tips to consider:
  • Make your navigation menu clearly visible. Use a color scheme that highlights the menu and distinguishes it from the rest of the page.
  • Make sure that your menu colors make it easy to understand which page the visitor is currently viewing. You can do this by setting up your menu’s Advanced Style settings in the Wix Editor.
  • Link your logo to the site’s homepage. This has become a navigation standard, and most internet users will expect to see this function on your site too.
·         2. Mobile: Can Your Site be Accessed from Anywhere?
·         This is a no brainer; your website needs to be friendly for mobile browsing. A survey conducted at the beginning of 2014 predicted that during this year, about half of mobile device owners all over the world will use their devices regularly to surf the web, and numbers are even higher in countries with an established web culture (like the US, Europe and the vibrant Asian market).
·         Going mobile is such a must-have for your site because it’s just so easy and accessible nowadays.

3. Visual Language: Is Your Website Consistent?
·         Some of the hottest web design trends for the moment include- flat design, endless scrolling, fixed headers, & elaborate icon usage  – to name just a few. Regardless of the style or trend that you want to adopt for your website design, one thing that is absolutely critical is that you stick to one consistent look.
·         Designing one page according to the principles of minimal web design, having another page filled with dynamic image galleries and animations and yet another page focusing primarily on typography might not only get you in trouble with the guild of web design purists, it will probably leave your site visitors confused.
·         Once you decide on the visual language you want to display on your website, we suggest that you do some research and browse through other websites that share this style. You’ll notice how they adapt the same style to different pages that present different types of content. This is what you should aspire to as well – a consistent and striking visual experience.

4. Features: Does Your Site Offer All That it Can?
While you don’t want to burden your websites with too many features and functionalities just for the sake of having them there, it is important that you provide site visitors with helpful tools that can improve their experience on your website.   Consider, for instance, the following tools:
  • A search box to allows visitors to search through your website.
  • Anchor links that provide an easier browsing experience.
  • Multilingual versions of your site for international audiences.
  • Integrated social feeds that displays all of your social activity directly on your site.
  • Zoom in on products for a closer view on your online shop.

Minneapolis SEO | St Paul Mn SEO | SEO Services | Search Engine MarketingOf course I wish everyone would hire a professional SEO company namely mine, however that is not a realistic scenario. That is why I am always giving tips on what it takes to get better traffic, higher conversion rates and thus more sales from your website.

There is one theme that no matter how many tips you may ingest, it takes time. Quality SEO for your chosen key words takes time and patience. Well there probably are but to reach them and to get your site ranked higher on Google as well as other search engines guess what ... yes it takes time and effort.
Minneapolis SEO | St Paul Mn SEO | SEO Services | Search Engine MarketingFirst off you have to identify who you want visiting your site.

If you sell used car parts, used car parts are your first set of keywords. Next Where do you sell your used car parts? If you have a store in Milwaukee it is likely that Used car Parts in Milwaukee is your next set of keywords. Since Milwaukee is in WI. it is logical to think that WI used car parts is a 3rd set of keywords you should target.

You should use a tool like Google Keyword search to help identify which keyword string is strongest. Believe it or not used car parts milwaukee is different from milwaukee used car parts. Google keyword tool will help you determine how best to phrase your keyword strings.

Of course you can continue to follow our blogs or follow our pintrest or facebook or twitter accounts, (all of which you should have as well).

You see it  takes time.
